Legally, there is a declared Public Health Emergency in force until 31 March 2021.
Read all about it here. https://www.health.qld.gov.au/system-governance/legislation/cho-public-health-directions-under-expanded-public-health-act-powers
Officially we’re stuck with this for the whole of season 2020/21.
Until then Subbies cricket will continue with COVID Safety Plans:
• ELECTRONIC CONTACT REGISTERS – including all players, umpires, spectators, visitors, the guy in the canteen.. everyone (and their kids) please.
◦ The Qld government has recently said that community sport **must** discontinue using Paper Contact Registers.
◦ There’s some suggested electronic check-in software including free ones at https://qsdca.com.au/covid-19-safety/
◦ If any club needs advice on how to do this please email secretary@qsdca.com.au (It’s not hard to setup or to use.)
◦ In all cases the contact register data must be filed with the HOME club.
◦ Foreigner teams (i.e Team A v Team B at ground of Team C) please send your completed registers to Team C.
◦ Read this for detailed information https://www.covid19.qld.gov.au/updates/important-changes-to-record-keeping-for-contact-tracing
• HAND WASHING (provide and use hand sanitizer or soap and water or bring your own)
• SOCIAL DISTANCING (in particular don’t share equipment and drink bottles, no handshakes, no spitting, bowlers’ hat on the ground rule, no spitting on the ball, use clean stumps and bowlers’ markers, don’t share paperwork, umpires not to handle the ball, no swapping coins at the toss, do not share sunscreen bottles)
• STAY HOME IF YOU’RE SICK (obviously and go get a test) https://www.qld.gov.au/health/conditions/health-alerts/coronavirus-covid-19/stay-informed/testing-and-fever-clinics
Thanks to all those who are continuing to make the effort to support this.
We all need to do this to keep playing cricket.
To support this the following QSDCA resources remain available.
• COVID Safety Plans for all QSDCA Grounds are posted here: https://qsdca.com.au/covid-19-safety-plans/
• You will find more information about COVID Safety at cricket here:(also Details of suggested, free Contact Tracing Apps can be found here.)  https://qsdca.com.au/covid-19-safety/
Health advice to prevent the spread of COVID-19:

• Stay 1.5 metres away from other people—think two big steps
• Wash your hands with soap and water, or hand sanitiser
• Leave a location if it is crowded.
