Usman Khan was a player and founding member for Mighty Bangles who have played in QSDCA Sundays since about 2020. (and you may have met him in Winter Warehouse too.)

For those who knew him, Umpires will be asking captains to hold a voluntary minutes silence prior to the start of play for each game this weekend (3 & 4-Oct) to mark his tragic passing last week.
This dedication has been sent by from Navid Muttaqui, Mighty Bangles Captain and President.
It is with deep sadness that we inform you of a tragic loss to the Mighty Bangles, as a founding member and integral piece of the team is no longer with us. Usman Khan was taken too soon from this world. He touched so many lives, particularly within the Mighty Bangles. He gave 100% on and off the field and made every person he interacted with a meaningful one. Usman was our treasurer, vice captain, captain, brother, legend, friend, coach, confidant, leader and advisor. He will be dearly missed every day. Usman brought the Mighty Bangles together in many different ways from his insight on the field, his determination to battle and overall successful mindset. He holds the current record for most wickets taken (150) and will be a hard one to chase down. The boys will miss your antics, your quotes, your smile, your words, your overall warmth.
Rest in Peace Bro. We will always watch out for your loved ones and always remember you 🤍🤍

Usman leaves behind his wife, who is due to give birth to their first child next month. As the sole income earner, his sudden passing means his family now needs our support more than ever.
