CHANGE OF BALLS in 2026/27

In 2026/27 there will be a transition to 4 piece Senator and 2 piece Pink Jaffer balls where 2 piece Special Test and 2 piece Orange Jaffer balls were used previously.

Current plan is to use Special Test in C grades and Orange Jaffers in early Super 20 rounds until stock is exhausted.

In any one game, the SAME type of ball must be used throughout the game. For instance, do not mix 2 piece Special Test and 4 piece Senator balls from innings to innings.

Club which have excess stock of Special Test or Orange Jaffers can dispose of them by these methods:

  • Clubs are welcome to sell or swap balls in original condition with other clubs (in Super 20 or Saturday C grade)
    • Some clubs may seek to buy Special Test or Orange Jaffer balls from other clubs.
  • Sunday and Saturday B teams may return balls to the Association (in original condition) for credit at 2025/26 prices.
    • Special Test credit price $49.25 (incl GST) each ball.
    • Orange Jaffer credit price $34.60 (incl GST) each ball
    • Returned balls must be in original condition (as if they can be used in a game, even yours…)

TERMS OF PAYMENT

The terms of payment for each invoice issued monthly is:

Payment in full within 14 days.

This is not new. It has been the expectation for many, many years.

Prompt payment is appreciated.

There are some serious steps the Association can take under the constitution if clubs allow bills to go unpaid for more than 1 month. (For instance section 8 allows removal of affiliation for unfinancial clubs.)

But these steps have been suggested:

    • Withhold admin services (eg. enquiries, approvals for transfer, replacement or regrading)

    • Stop supplying new balls on ‘credit’ (new balls may require payment at the time of collection)

    • Suspension of the awarding of match points

None of these need to be considered for any club in good financial standing. (i.e bills paid within 14 days)

Please contact the QSDCA Treasurer by emailing treasurer@qsdca.com.au to refresh your invoice information.

For any queries please email secretary@qsdca.com.au
