WET WEATHER AND MATCH DAY CHANGES

Queensland Cricket will primarily use a roster system to ensure a member of staff is available each match day, at a minimum from 8am – 2pm and their primary responsibility is to manage communications for cancelled matches, reassign umpires and work alongside Cricket Australia support staff to monitor PlayHQ / PlayCricket system performance.

As this is a rotating roster Queensland Cricket uses WhatsApp message groups as the first point of contact. This also allows us to provide staff cover for any illness and to have multiple staff monitor requests in busier times. We will share the details of the rostered staff member in that WhatsApp group by the Friday before each weekend.

All team contacts are requested to download and join the QSDCA WhatsApp Group using the relevant link:

Any other non-match day Competition or PlayHQ requests can continue to come to me.

SELECTING TEAMS

Clubs are encouraged to pre-select teams in either the PlayHQ Admin or Public site (pending your Club access) prior to the match. The PlayHQ E-Scoring site should only be used to select / change teams at the ground on the day of the match. Using E-Scoring in days prior risks locking everyone out of the match making live scoring / streaming not possible.

As per the playing conditions a written team sheet is also required to submit to the opposition captain and allocated Umpires prior to the toss.

FILL-IN PLAYERS

As per the Playing Conditions, players are allowed a maximum of one (1) match as a Fill-In player after which they need to register online and pay any subsequent Association or National Registration Fees.

Clubs can contact me directly for assistance or advice on this process.

E-SCORING – PRIMARY & SECONDARY SCORERS

PlayHQ allows for multiple devices to score the same match but only the PRIMARY SCORER will ever send any live scores, stats and results to PlayHQ and the PlayCricket products. The first person / device to set up the match becomes the Primary Scorer:

  • It’s recommend the Home Team is responsible for this and allocated as the Primary Scorer. It is the job of the Primary Scorer to ensure the match is ended correctly and final results are submitted.

  • Any other device becomes a Secondary Scorer and no results or stats will ever be sent from a Secondary Scorer device regardless of internet connections.

    • If you are a Secondary Scorer we recommend taking final screenshots of scorecards as a backup

  • On the E-Scoring screen in the top right corner you will see if your device is allocated as either a Primary or Secondary scorer

While PlayHQ E-Scoring is recommended teams can use alternative scoring apps or scorebooks if they prefer.

MATCH RESULT DEADLINE

  • Due in PlayHQ by 11:59pm of the Wednesday following the end of the match

  • As per the playing conditions, the DLS method is in play for reduced overs / interrupted matches for all One Day fixtures

    • QSDCA playing regulations 33.4 “in a match where the team batting second has not had the opportunity to bat for the target number of overs and has not been dismissed and has not passed its opponent’s score, the result will be decided on the average run rate throughout each innings”.

  • Please see details and examples in the playing regulations here:

    • Saturday One Day 35 Over Matches – page 30

    • Sunday 50 Over Matches – page 41-42

    • Sunday Super 20 Matches – page 52-53

    • Sunday Over 40’s Matches – page 63

    • It is a Club responsibility to enter match results, scorecards etc. however your Competition Administrator can assist with any troubleshooting or issues.
