The majority of QSDCA grounds are lucky enough to have covers to keep pitches dry in case of wet weather or threatening rain, which was the case on Saturday 20-Sep.

Both teams (including visiting teams and especially when both teams are visiting teams) are expected to be aware of and follow the below in relation to covers for and general tidiness of grounds:

  • Assist in removal of covers before the game and replacement of covers after the game when this is needed.
  • Many hands make light work of this task.
  • Leave the ground in the state that you have found it.
  • If covers were on, put them back on at the end of the game unless the groundskeeper has indicated otherwise.
  • Covers may need to be folded and placed on a trolley, rubbish removed, chairs and tables returned, other equipment stored back in the place it was removed from – this is expected to be done.
  • The payment of wicket fees does not exclude anyone from ensuring covers and grounds are returned to their original state.
  • Respect for the grounds and Clubs you are visiting in the form of cleaning up after the game ensures QSDCA teams continue to be provided access to an extensive number of venues for the season.
